April 1: You Have Nothing to Fear

Scripture Reading—Psalm 46:1-5

“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. Selah.” (Psalm 46:1-3)

A “very present help” is one that is there all the time. I truly am with you every passing moment. That is why you need have no fear. I am with you in the good moments of your life and I am with you in the sorrowful and difficult times. No matter what you are called to go through, I am with you to help you and lift you above every situation in life, even the most difficult and dangerous.

I am your refuge. I am there to protect you, to comfort you. Run into My arms. I will give you the moral strength, the spiritual strength, and the physical strength. There is no task that I call you to do which you will not be able to do. First, I work on your inner man, giving your spirit strength, and then I work on your physical man, pouring physical strength into the physical parts of your body. Many are weak physically because they do not have spiritual strength. If they would draw closer to Me and live in My presence they would find themselves becoming very much stronger physically.

You have nothing to fear as you come to Me for refuge. I will protect you and hold you up when the world is shaking around you. Let the mountains shake. Let them be carried into the midst of the sea! You shall still stand when you keep your hand in Mine. Many “mountains” will be shaken in these days of trouble. And some shall be cast into the sea of humanity. But the child of Mine who hides himself in Me will never be cast into the sea to be tossed about mercilessly by the swelling waves.

I have placed you on an immovable rock high above the storms of life and I will hold you there in My presence to be comforted, strengthened, and nourished through all the cataclysms of the present and the future. Therefore you will have nothing to fear!
