April 18: The Immortal Glory

Scripture Reading — Romans 2:1-29

“To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life:…But glory, honour, and peace, to every man that worketh good, to the Jew first, and also to the Gentile:” (Romans 2:7,10)

Yes, My child, there are great and wonderful rewards further up the road. If My children could see for a minute the glory, the honour, the immortality which awaits them if they are faithful and patiently endure their trials and tests, continuing to do good for evil, they would completely change their attitudes. They would try so much harder to please Me. They would permit nothing to interfere with My great plan for their eternal destiny.

The glory and honour and the peace that you have today on this earth is nothing compared to that of eternity. All earth’s glory is limited by the carnality of the flesh, for the full impact of glory would dissolve you immediately. The honour of earth is mixed with criticism, contempt, and rejection.

There are different degrees of immortality. Some are of much higher order than others. Do not strive only to escape the damnation of the lost, but rather, strive for the higher degrees of celestial attainment, that you may spend eternity in the highest realm of glory and honour. It is here that you determine what you shall be there.
