Scripture Reading—Palm 91:7-9
“A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee. Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked. Because thou hast made the Lord, which is my refuge, even the Most High, thy habitation.” (Psalm 91:7-9)
Death and destruction are something which you will have to get acquainted with, for there will be a great amount of both death and destruction in these last days. I do not mean that you must harden your heart in such a way that these things should not touch you; rather, you surely must know that, as the end draws nigh, the prophecies of the Scriptures shall surely be fulfilled, for the riders of the Book of Revelation have started riding. All these things must be fulfilled. There must be sword, pestilence, famine, and death. Only with your eyes shall you behold these things come to pass upon a Christ-rejecting, pleasure-loving and wicked generation.
This generation has not seen how I can protect My righteous ones and preserve them—even as I did Noah, Lot, the prophet Jeremiah, and the early church.
When the armies of Rome destroyed Jerusalem, nearly all who had heard and obeyed My voice had already fled from that city. Only a few well-chosen martyrs stayed behind to become chaplains to the dying and those who were taken as slaves to Rome.
In these days of tribulation, you will many times see and hear of tragedy and holocaust taking place in the most unexpected places. But for you it shall be like it was for John, the writer of the Apocalypse—he saw it all, but he did not partake of it. You will be as one sitting in the bleachers, observing the tragedy of the times. It shall not come nigh thee. I have given you this promise: “Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked Because thou hast made the Lord, which is my refuge, even the Most High, thy habitation.”
