August 19: Praise the Lord with an Instrument of Music

Scripture Reading—Psalm 92:2-3

“To show forth thy lovingkindness in the morning, and thy faithfulness every night, Upon an instrument of ten strings, and upon the psaltery; and upon the harp with a solemn sound.” (Psalm 92:2-3)

It is time for My people to return to their instruments of music. Everyone has been given an instrument to make music and in Heaven everyone will play their instrument of music. But there is no need to wait until you get to Heaven. You need the joy and comfort of music here on Earth. This is the place to use the melody your instrument can play to drive the evil powers away.

The radio, record player, and tape recorders are poor substitutes for the music which you, yourself, can make unto Me. I grieve over the “canned music” which is recorded by ungodly men to be used in accompanying My anointed Davids. I would rather hear the simple strumming of a guitar or harp that is played from a pure heart than all the professional unanointed music that flows from lives full of sin and bondage.

If you cannot play the simplest instrument, then clap your hands. Let your ten fingers be a ten-stringed instrument. Tap your foot; enter into the rhythm of the song of the Lord.

When you make music, let it be an expression of praise and gratitude for My works. Praise Me with your voice. If you cannot play an instrument, at least you can sing. And if you cannot sing, then “make a joyful noise unto the Lord.” As you do you shall receive a fresh anointing from Me.
