August 22: You Are a Chosen Vessel to Bear His Name

Scripture Reading — Acts 9:1-43

“…for he is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear My name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel: For I will shew him how great things he must suffer for my name’s sake.” (Acts 9: 15, 16)

My child, you are a chosen vessel unto Me. You were chosen from your mother’s womb. (Jeremiah 1:5) Your life is not your own. It is Mine completely. I have a plan for it from the beginning of time. This is not some last minute arrangement. All creation is built around My last-day plan.

You are chosen, not only to be My beloved bride, but to fear My name. You carry My name on your heart, like the high priest carried the names of Israel before Me. Every day, every place you go, My name is there on your heart. (Exodus 28: 29)

Man has not chosen you. Had man chosen you, you would be answerable to man. But no man wanted or desired you, so you are Mine.

I chose Paul from his mother’s womb. (Galatians 1: 15) He knew this and what it meant. So he “conferred not with flesh and blood.” (Galatians 1 : 16) I have many whom I have chosen and who work directly under My leadership. Neither can they work under any other. You are such a one, to hear My voice and obey it.

But you must remember that to be chosen to such a high calling means suffering. There is a great honour and glory attached to the high calling of God and so a large measure of suffering is permitted in your life. It gives balance and maturity and even more glory. (II Corinthians 12: 7)
