August 26: Enter My Presence with “Squeals of Delight!”

Scripture Reading—Psalm 95:1-6

“O come, let us sing unto the Lord: let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation. Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving, and make a joyful noise unto him with psalms.” (Psalm 95:1-2)

I welcome your song and your trumpet blasts of joy because they awaken a sleeping, indifferent world and draw attention to heavenly things. “To make a joyful noise” was one of the things I demanded of My people when I instructed them to sound the shofar (trumpet) on the day of Jubilee. This was not an alarm to cause fear or to alert for war or danger, but rather it was a sounding for triumph and rejoicing because release from years of bondage had come for the slaves, and their inheritance was restored to their original rightful owners (Leviticus 25:9-55).

In a world that is full of the cries of the hurting and the dying, I need to hear your shouts of joy and the babies’ squeals of delight. Sometimes the only positive sounds I hear are the squeals of happiness that come from the throats of My infants. It is true that out of the mouths of babes I have perfected praise (Matthew 21:16). Nowhere is there such perfect and pure praise found as in the gurgling voices of My innocents.

If you could interpret their expressions and see the rays of light that emanate from these little ones, you would want to devote your life to living with them. To Heaven no earthly choir is more beautiful, no skilful musician can play more divinely than the sound of joy from a baby’s heart. That is why the angels and the pure in heart love the ministry to the infants.

Those who do not take pleasure in the pure praise of sucklings are those who are bowed down with the cares or the sins of the world.

My eyes are always on those who make the joyful noise. The saints on Earth are not the only ones whose attention is drawn to the “joyful” sound. All of Heaven listens; so when you make a shout of victory, I hear it also, for it brings you into My presence more quickly and directly than all your complaining.
