“Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you” (Matthew 7:6).
Jesus in His Sermon on the Mount spoke these precious words of warning. He spoke this to the people, for He knew what was in the heart of man, and that the hearts of some people were like dogs, or wild swine, who would rend the soul of the innocent to pieces, misquoting, misunderstanding, and tearing to pieces precious truths of God, sometimes, even saying that they are satanically inspired.
Because the Lord loves you, He is warning you today with the following message:
You must learn wisdom, My child. Your foolishness brings grief to Me, and to yourself. Don’t be so heady! Learn instruction, and suffer less.
Know ye not, that when you speak before mockers and scorners, My truths, and they will not hear, nor be changed, that you must cease your words?
For if you show everyone your chest of jewels and valuables, (which are My revelations, My wisdom, and My truths), and display them before their mocking eyes, they will trample them under their feet, and turn against you, and rend you.
Has your heart not been rent over and over again by their jesting, and mocking of My holy things?
But, My child, hear this, even as you have exposed yourself to mockery and sarcasm, you have exposed Me, and caused Me grievous, unnecessary suffering. I know you thought you suffered for My sake. You were foolish! You suffered for your foolishness.
Have I not commanded you “Give not that which is holy unto the dogs!”
Feed dogs dog food, such as bones, scraps, and crumbs from the table; but do not set before them My Holy Word. For if you do, it is as though you opened the Bible and held it open for them to spit on its pages.
I know you have a treasure chest with many wonderful truths. Be a wise owner. Hide it from those who know not its true value, and I will lead you to those who will appreciate, and receive pleasure, when you finally open it at My bidding to display the rubies, diamonds, emeralds, and pearls of hidden treasures.
In Isaiah 45:3, I promised Cyrus, a man who had not yet been born, that for the sake of Israel, “I will give thee the treasures of darkness, and hidden riches of secret places, that thou mayest know that I, the LORD, which call thee by thy name, am the God of Israel. For Jacob my servant’s sake, and Israel mine elect…”
All that you receive now from Me, all that you do now, must be “for Jacob, my servant’s sake, and Israel mine elect.”
Sometimes, the wonderful revelations God gives us, are not for our time, nor for our generation, they are mysteries, sealed up until the time of the end, when they must be “shouted from the house tops” (Daniel 12:9).
And sometimes, the “hidden riches of secret places” are for a certain group of people who have been prepared by the Holy Spirit, to receive them. Unless the Holy Spirit shows you that they are ready, hide these things in your heart, like Mary did, of whom it is written, “Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart” (Luke 2:19).
The wise man said, there is “a time to keep silence, and a time to speak” (Ecclesiastes 3:7). The Holy Spirit will guide you when, and what to speak. Be careful to obey Him.
