December 25: The Bridegroom Is Coming Soon — Be Ready!

“And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh: go ye out to meet him” (Matthew 25:6).

From your childhood, you have known this familiar parable of the Ten Virgins. Five were wise, and five were foolish. All ten were holy women who had kept their lives clean, and lived in celibacy. And all ten were on a journey — a journey to meet their Beloved. I said, “They went forth to meet him.”

All ten of these good women had lamps; and all their lamps were burning brightly through the darkness of the hours from twilight until midnight. All ten of them got weary with their long hours of waiting and hoping. Soon the excitement began to fade away, and, because the journey was so long, and the night was so dark, and the lights in all the homes along the way had gone out because of the lateness of the hour, all ten of them sat down to rest awhile — and while resting, they ALL fell asleep.

Suddenly! A joyful cry was heard from the angelic hosts, who had welcomed Me to earth when I was born a babe in a manger in the Bethlehem, “BEHOLD! THE BRIDEGROOM COMETH; GO YE OUT TO MEET HIM!”

The first time they had proclaimed, “BEHOLD! I BRING YOU GOOD TIDINGS OF GREAT JOY, WHICH SHALL BE TO ALL PEOPLE. For unto you is born this day in the city of David, a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. And this shall be a sign unto you; ye shall find THE BABE wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger …. [And they believed, and] said, Let us now go . . . and see this thing which is come to pass, which the Lord hath made known to us. And they made haste, and found Mary, and Joseph, and THE BABE lying in a manger” (Luke 2:10-12, 15-16)

When I came to earth as a baby, it was in the darkness of night, and when I come again, it will be at a time when men have become so evil they have covered the world with darkness as great as in the days of Noah. Only a few knew of My coming then, because the religious world was sleeping. They didn’t want their comforts to be disturbed. They were not ready. And many will not be ready when I come as the Bridegroom for My Bride. Some, who think they are ready, will be shocked to find that during this coming time of testing, their lights have gone out. These are the foolish virgins. The wise virgins had brought an extra supply of oil. This oil can be likened to the Holy Spirit. They had the double portion of the Glory of God in their lives. They were ready for the “launching” into the Bridegroom’s Mansion.

Every rocket is jettisoned by fuel; the “fuel” that will rapture you is the fuel of the Glory of the Holy Spirit in your life. ALWAYS MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A FULL TANK!
