Beloved Intercessors,
Loving greetings from Engeltal! It’s raining… again… The Arkansas River has set a new record for flooding already, and it’s raining again. As we drove through the Midwest on our way home from Blue Mountain Christian Retreat, we saw a number of flooded rivers and farmers’ fields. I am reminded again of the prophetic word from 1934 that Arthur Burt carried around in his pocket for decades:
“It shall come as a breath…
And the breath shall bring the wind…
And the wind shall bring the rain.
And there shall be floods and floods and floods…
And torrents and torrents and torrents.
Souls shall be saved like falling leaves from mighty oaks swept by a hurricane.
Arms and legs will come down from Heaven…
And there shall be no ebb.”
The prophets have been saying for quite some time that this would be the best of times and the worst of times. This is certainly the worst of times from a natural standpoint for farmers (and therefore for our food supply), for those who have suffered loss from these floods, etc., not to mention the tornadoes, and fires not long ago in the West as well. But the worst of times is often the only time that people will turn to God, so spiritually it can become the best of times. And, after all, the spiritual life is the eternal life, and how we spend that here on the earth determines how we will spend it for eternity.
Praying for Last-Minute Harvest: In our recent travels, one of our handmaidens was talking about how the Holy Spirit has led her to pray for the lost who will die today (roughly 153,000 each day), that Jesus will appear to them and show them the truth in their moments of dying. Let’s join her in that prayer! Some may have never heard the Good News, but if the Good News appears to them in the moment of their death, Hell will be sorely disappointed! I have read accounts of seers who have been shown people who see Jesus and how they have an informed choice in the moment of their death. Sadly, some still don’t choose Him, but nearly everyone in their right mind will.
World Convention: This will be our last Prayer Letter before the World Convention. Two weeks from now we will be trying to wrap up all of the details for our big move to Springdale. We are hoping that you will be there to join us! We have been praying for the Lord to make a miraculous way for the people whom He has chosen to attend. We’re asking for God to give miracles of finances, miracles of provision of every kind, miracles of transportation, miracles of favor for getting off of work, miracles of favor in family relationships, miracles of healing, and whatever is needed. We are asking God to orchestrate every detail so that His supper table will be furnished with guests who are hungry for Him!
I just sent this memo to our staff on Thursday, and I felt that I should send it on to you as well. Even if you’re not able to come, would you please join with us in our dedication of the next month to His divine purposes? I know that it will yield good fruit for the Kingdom of God in your life!
“Today is June 6. One month from today the World Convention will be over.
“I feel that it’s critically important for us to lay aside all secular distractions to really seek the face of the Lord for the next month in particular. We are asking God to give us Divine Strategies at this convention. I feel we should shut off all of the voices clamoring for our attention to distract us from hearing from God.
“Unless you need to do so for the purpose of preparation for Convention, please refrain from:
- Watching videos other than the kind that will help you to grow spiritually
- Researching on the web
- Engaging in Social media
“Ask the Lord to give you a three-day fast of some kind that will help you tune in to His Spirit. Ask Him to make you hungry for Him so that our preparations in this next month will be filled with His peace and joy and love. Ask Him to anoint you with the oil of joy so you can serve Him with gladness and all will go together smoothly.”
Pray for My New Book: Please pray for me as, in addition to all of the other things that I do in preparation for the World Convention, I try to settle in to write a book that has been on my heart for many years. Please pray for me to get all of the words that the Lord wants recorded in this book, that we get it into excellent form, and that we get it done in time to have it printed before the Convention. I believe it will be a blessing to many people.

P.S. Quintessa Lawrence, who has been compiling and sending this Prayer Letter for four years, has been called to move on from Engeltal and attend Bible college in the Dallas area this August. Please pray for her as she takes the next step into what the Lord has for her. She plans to continue to publish the email version from there, but we don’t know if we will be able to publish the paper version in her absence unless God would raise up someone who could be trained to do that job. Please pray that if we are to continue with a paper version of the Prayer Letter, He will bring someone who can handle the task. If you receive this through the postal service, please consider who among your friends, family, or acquaintances might be able to receive the prayer letter by email and print it for you in case we are not able to print it and send it through the mail.
