“For there is no sorcery against Jacob, Nor any divination against Israel: It must be said of Jacob and of Israel, Oh, what God has done! Look, a people like a lioness, And lifts itself up like a lion; It shall not lie down until it devours the prey, And drinks the blood of the slain” (Num. 23:23-24).
“Thus says the LORD of hosts, Behold I will break the bow of Elam [Iran]; The foremost of their might. Against Elam, I will bring the four winds. From the four corners of heaven, And scatter them towards all those winds; there shall be no nations where the outcasts of Elam will not go. For I will cause Elam to be dismayed before their enemies. And before those who seek their life. I will bring disaster upon them, My fierce anger, sayeth the LORD. And I will send the sword after them Until I have consumed them” (Jer. 49:35-37).
Dear Friends of Israel:
In a surprise “preemptive” attack, the nation of Israel, ordered its air force to destroy Iranian targets last week. The overwhelming threat of an oncoming nuclear ballistic attack from Iran forced Israel’s government to act. Iran apparently had enough enriched uranium to arm at least 15 ballistic missiles. Prime Minister Netanyahu in a announcement to the nation, said that without a military response by Israel: “There would not be a next generation.” The military operation was called “Rising Lion” and was taken from Numbers 23, when Balaam prophesied over the Israelites. Within hours, most of Iran’s Air Force was destroyed, it’s radar stations eliminated, and its nuclear development program halted. Many of Iran’s military leaders were also “neutralized.” The warfare is continuing with more IAF strikes against Iran being carried out. Military experts estimate that this conflict will last at least another two weeks.
June 13th
Friday evening Iran counter attacked Israel by firing over 200 ballistic missiles and drones at Israel. Although most of these rockets were intercepted, a few exploded in the Tel Aviv area, destroying homes and apartments. Three people were killed and over twenty injured.
June 14th
Saturday evening, Israel was again being pummeled by barrages of Iranian ballistic missiles, which even when intercepted, scatter deadly steel shrapnel over a wide area. A missile exploded in an Arab village near Haifa, killing four women from one family. Then Iranian missiles exploded in Bat Yam and Rehovot, killing at least four and injuring another fifty people. Terrorism and warfare do not always discriminate its victims, and whether they are Jewish, Muslim, or Christian. [The latest number of Israeli civilian deaths is 24 in total.]
All of Israel has been instructed by Home Front Command to remain near their bomb shelters or other areas of safety. Tehran also is undergoing another wave of attacks by the IAF, destroying its offensive capabilities, as well as its main oil refinery. Many Iranians are fleeing the country.
Israel’s Ben Gurion airport is shut down; its ports are closed and its land border crossings secured. All public gatherings, schools, and non-essential workplaces have been closed. The country is “on lockdown,” for everyone’s safety.

Elam is Iran
Iran is known in the Bible as Elam. This geographical area prior to 1936 was also identified as Persia. This nation under its strict, religious Shiite Ayatollahs, has been a long-time sponsor of terrorism against the Jewish State. It was Iran that armed and sponsored Lebanon’s Hezbollah army for decades. Iran also assists the Yemenite Houthis in their quest to attack/harm Israel and block the Red Sea. Iran, along with Qatar, supports Hamas. Iran also has sought to destabilize Iraq with its influence, as well as Syria, greatly alarming the U.S.
China is Assisting Iran
China also is a strong supporter to Iran. It furnishes critical missile and drone parts, technology, rocket fuel, and even Chinese personnel who assist Iran in its current war against Israel. The evidence of China’s role in the last few months is clear.
“In February, China was caught red-handed selling Iran 1,000 tons of sodium perchlorate. That is a key solid rocket fuel ingredient. Once processed into ammonium perchlorate, it is enough fuel to launch 260 “Kheibar Shekan” missiles or 200 “Haj Qasem” missiles at Israel. Those were the same missiles Iran used to strike Israel on April 13-14, 2024. (Marylois and I spent the evening praying at the House of Peace, and hearing loud explosions of the intercepts over the House.) There is satellite imagery of this shipment arriving in Iran.
In March, Chinese aerospace components used to manufacture Iranian and Houthi offensive drones were intercepted on the Yemen-Oman border. Earlier the same month, Chinese fuel cells were found in the wreckage of Houthi drones. In addition, China has been selling Iran and the Houthis drone engines, GPS guidance modules for ballistic missiles, electronics, and more.” (Israel National News 6/14/25)
Iran versus Israel
Iran is a nation of some 90 million people, with its capital, Tehran, the home of nine million of its citizens. Israel’s entire population is only nine million. Yet Iran is a mess, its economy is in free fall with an estimated yearly inflation of 43%, (IMF statistics). The government is an Islamic Republic ruled by Shiite leaders called Ayatollahs. Personal freedoms such as Americans have under the Constitution do not exist. Israel is far stronger militarily but Iran is equipped with thousands of ballistic missiles and explosive drones which pose a great threat to Israel. Iran also possesses an advanced nuclear program with the goal of producing enough nuclear weapons to destroy Israel.
One Million Iranians now know Jesus as their Savior
Crosswalk reports that a million Muslims have accepted Christ in Iran as tens of thousands of mosques in the Islamic country have closed, according to information released from witnesses there on the ground and multiple ministries in the region. In February, Mohammad Abolghassem Doulabi, a senior cleric in Iran, revealed that 50,000 of the nation’s 75,000 mosques had closed because of a substantial drop in attendance.
At the same time, Muslims are finding Jesus with approximately 1 million Muslims in Iran coming to Christ, according to the international radio ministry The Tide and a news report from CBN.
Todd Nettleton, vice president of Message for The Voice of the Martyrs, said many Iranians are searching for hope.
“You have a country with one of the highest drug addiction rates in the world. You have a country where corruption runs rampant. You have a country where more than half the people live below the poverty line,” Nettleton told CBN. “And the people of Iran are looking at this, and they are saying, ‘Wait a minute. If this is what Islam has brought us in the last 45 years, we’re not interested. We want to know what the other options are.’”
A December survey of Iranians from the Netherlands based Gamaan Institute found that 80 percent reject the Islamic Republic and want a democratic government.
The potential of a “Jesus revolution” within Iran has sparked pushback from the Islamic government, Nettleton said. Conversion from Islam to Christianity is illegal in Iran. Go to Crosswalk.com for further information.
Pray for the hidden believers in Iran and that this present war will overturn the current Muslim religious government and allow the light of Christ to spread even more In this nation.
The House of Peace
Marylois and I are currently in Arkansas at the headquarters of Global Outpouring. We had tentatively thought about returning to Israel this June, but couldn’t get a strong leading of the Lord to do so. Now we see why. The House of Peace is secure, and we have great team there who take care of it while we are away.
Continue to pray for Israel and its citizens safety. Pray also for a swift victory over Iran. May Adonai swiftly use Israel to break the bow of Elam (Iran). Pray for a regime change in Iran, and that new leaders would arise that would truly care for their people. Pray for Jesus to be continually magnified in Iran and Israel. Pray for many to come to know Christ. Pray Isaiah’s word over these lands:
“For thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy; I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones.”
