It’s Passover! It’s Time for Breakthrough!

Loving greetings from the Valley of Angels with the Lord’s words to Moses as the Children of Israel were crying to Him as they stood before the Red Sea and Pharaoh’s army was coming up behind them: “Moses told the people, Fear not; stand still (firm, confident, undismayed) and see the salvation of the Lord which He will work for you today. For the Egyptians you have seen today you shall never see again. The Lord will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace and remain at rest” (Exodus 14:13-14).

We are in an interesting time in the middle of the celebration of Passover on the lunar Biblical calendar and the solar liturgical calendar. Last weekend we held a beautiful Seder (Passover meal) and the Church celebrated Palm Sunday. This weekend the Hebrew calendar shows the anniversary of the parting of the Red Sea while the Church celebrates the Crucifixion and Resurrection of our Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ, the Forever Passover Lamb! Talk about BREAKTHROUGH!

Recently we’ve been starting to see breakthroughs. Some of them have been small but nagging jobs or details that we hadn’t been able to accomplish for weeks, months, and even years. Suddenly, we have been breaking through and getting them done, hallelujah. The grace of the Lord to break through in all the areas of our lives is available to us in this Passover season.

It’s a season of transition. The Children of Israel had been slaves for hundreds of years. They didn’t know any other life—only Moses knew what it was like to live free. Although he had been born a slave, by the grace of God he had transitioned to live free in the wealth of the Egyptian palace. Then he transitioned again to live free in the poverty of a shepherd on the back side of the desert in Midian. When God met him at the burning bush, He transitioned him back to Egypt to be the transition key in the lock of their bondage.

It didn’t look good at first when Moses declared the LORD’s command: “Let My People GO!” Pharaoh’s initial reaction was to multiply their trouble. But the plagues that showed the Egyptians that Jehovah was superior to all their gods began the transition that loosened the bonds, and the Passover night opened the gates for their exodus. The Red Sea was a place where they were assured that they would never see the Egyptians again. Sadly, the adult generation couldn’t transition their mindsets to believe God that if He could deal with their Egyptian enemies, He could also deal with the giants in Canaan.

How much have we learned to trust God in this season? How many transitions can we make? The choice is individual. We have all seen Him do miracles; can we trust Him that He is in the process of answering our prayers even when we can’t see it in the natural? Can we see His mighty hand in our memories and trust that He’s still the Mighty One of Israel and working His transition in our lives to fulfill His Word? Do we see those prodigals in the Spirit as though they are already serving God with a passion? Are we speaking those things that are not (yet) as though they were?

Breakthrough Revival! I love rising early in the morning while it is still dark to watch the transition as light breaks through the darkness! It starts as a little greying at the horizon where it’s not so dark as it was. Then it gets a little lighter along that edge and may take on some golden, orange, or rosy hue. Many times it gets to the color of magenta, painting the clouds with Glory. Sister Gwen Shaw called magenta the color of revival. The Lord spoke to me once that magenta is the band of His Glory between darkness and light. If you can picture it, imagine a swath of magenta color encircling the earth north to south and back up the other side. On one side is darkness; on the other side is light, and revival color stands in the middle between the two!

It’s time for breakthrough in revival! The light is penetrating the darkness and revival breaks out in between, driving the darkness further and further back! Keep praying! Keep filling the bowls of Heaven with your prayers! They are accumulating and breakthrough is here!
