Love and greetings from Engeltal! In spite of all the turmoil in the world, the beauty of autumn is beginning to show as the crimson sumac, multicolored maples and gum trees, and salmon-colored sassafras are highlighting the landscape. Splashes of yellow and golden browns are adding to the splendor. There’s a certain crisp blue in the sky at this season that makes you turn your heart to give glory to the Lord for His marvelous creativity! How wonderful it will be when we see how much more glorious Heaven is when we have escaped this planet that has been marred by sin and death. As magnificent as the fall colors are, nothing can be compared to our Heavenly Father who is continuing to create colors every moment in Heaven!
Trials and Tragedy in Israel: I am sure that you are aware of the massacre of innocent Israeli citizens that started on October 7 by the terrorist organization called Hamas. In Hebrew the word hamas means violence, and they have certainly lived up to their name!
Last May, during the 21 days of prayer for Israel, Palestinian Islamic Jihad, another terrorist organization, began rocket barrages targeting Israeli citizens. Thankfully, a technology called “iron dome“ has been developed to determine the trajectory of a rocket and if it is heading toward a populated area, the anti-rocket missiles will take it down, and if it is headed to an open area, they allow it to fall where it will not harm anyone. We felt led of the Lord at that time to have a daily prayer call with Marylois Little at the House of Peace in Jerusalem. At the end of that season of prayer, I felt to leave the link open so that we could jump back on at any time we felt the calling of the Holy Spirit to pray together again. Obviously, we felt that call to prayer early this month and have been praying daily with Marylois and those who feel led as intercessors to join us in prayer for Israel.
We have heard heartrending stories of people who were in harms way during this massacre, and others whom the Lord spared. A 13 year-old boy had gone out for a morning run when the terrorists came into his home and slaughtered his family. He alone survives. Pray for the survivors. There’s a thing called “survivor syndrome“ that makes a person feel guilty for having survived. They think, “why wasn’t I killed instead of…“ It’s another tool of the devil to keep someone off the path of fulfilling their life.
I presume that you have heard of atrocities without me going into detail, and that you know that there are over 200 Israelis and citizens of other nations who are being held hostage in Gaza. Beloved, this is an important time to pray!
Daily Prayer Call Via Zoom: Until the Holy Spirit directs otherwise, we are having a Zoom prayer call for Israel with Marylois Little at our House of Peace in Jerusalem, daily at 12:30 PM Eastern time, 11:30 AM Central time, 10:30 AM Mountain time, and 9:30 AM Pacific time. We will keep using the same link daily. You can email office@globaloutpouring.org for the zoom information.
As Goes Israel, So Goes America: Chris Reed had a prophetic dream recently in which he saw similar scenarios happening in the United States that have happened in Israel. Here is a link to him describing the dream:
We already know that there have been thousands of young, single, Middle Eastern men who have come through our southern border. And we have known for years that “sleeper cells” of terrorists have been established all over the country. They are simply awaiting orders.
During the Feast of Tabernacles, Philip and I go camping (and fishing), so the massacre took place while we were there. The man camping next to us told us that he has a diesel repair shop and informed us that the majority of the truckers who come to him for repairs are young Middle Eastern men. It seems a bit suspicious, doesn’t it?
It’s Time to Terrorize the Devil! A couple of weeks before the massacre in Israel, Philip and I were reading in Philippians Chapter 1. Verse 28 jumped out at me as though I had never read it before. Then one phrase kept repeating to me over and over again. Philippians 1:28 (KJV) “And in nothing terrified by your adversaries: which is to them an evident token of perdition, but to you of salvation, and that of God.”
I kept hearing, “an evident token of perdition,” in my spirit. I was trying to study it deeper. Here are a few other translations of the same scripture to help us understand better what “an evident token of perdition“ is.
Phil 1:28 – New Living Translation
Don’t be intimidated in any way by your enemies. This will be a sign to them that they are going to be destroyed, but that you are going to be saved, even by God himself.
Phil 1:28 – English Standard Version
and not frightened in anything by your opponents. This is a clear sign to them of their destruction, but of your salvation, and that from God.
Phil 1:28 – Amplified Bible
And in no way be alarmed or intimidated [in anything] by your opponents, for such [constancy and fearlessness on your part] is a [clear] sign [a proof and a seal] for them of [their impending] destruction, but [a clear sign] for you of deliverance and salvation, and that too, from God.
I began to meditate on what our fearlessness does to cause fear in the heart of our enemy. He operates through fear. He controls his minions through fear, and he uses fear to keep people from ever fulfilling their purpose on the Earth.
Speaking of Jesus, the writer of Hebrews has this to say: “Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, He also Himself likewise took part of the same; that through death He might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; and deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.” (Hebrews 2:14b-15 KJV).
The fear of death brings bondage! God did not design us for fear, He designed us for love! David, in his wonderful shepherd Psalm, understood the safety that we have in covenant relationship with the Lord: “Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for Thou [art] with me; Thy rod and Thy staff they comfort me” (Psalm 23:4 KJV).
Philip and I recorded a podcast on this subject (click here to listen), and I developed it even more in a message in our last Friday Night Live Worship service (click here to watch).
The bottom line is, as we walk in a trusting, resting relationship with God, we will have the experience of His perfect love casting out all fear. Jesus died our death for us, so we have no need to fear death. If we have no need to fear death, we have no reason to fear obeying Him when He gives us instructions to go even into danger zones. I have said for many years that you are safer in a war zone in the will of God, then in your own bed out of the will of God. It’s time for us all to deal with our mortality and walk with a fearlessness that will strike terror in the heart of the devil because he knows that he has lost, and that his doom is sure, soon, sudden, and complete! It was actually completed in the moment when Jesus said from the cross, “It is finished!“
This is a time for us to war in the spirit over the souls of people on the Earth. We are not wrestling with flesh and blood as the scriptures say, but as we submit ourselves to the King of Glory, He will use us in the Earth to win battles in the heavenlies. Our declarations of the Word of God and the finished work of Jesus Christ will undo the powers of darkness that are fighting for the souls of men, women, and children.
Vision About Gaza: ETH Sheryl Simpers shares a heavenly vision she had in corporate prayer on October 11, 2023: “As we were praying over Israel, over the captives Hamas kidnapped, and over Hamas, I was taken to the war room in heaven for Israel. I was standing next to Jesus. We were looking into Israel. I saw many angels on assignment in Israel and particularly I was seeing into Gaza. I saw some of those taken as captives by Hamas in a dark, underground room. There was such fear and despondency in that dark, underground room. I saw Jesus in that underground room with some of the captives (about 20). I saw His presence was bringing such peace into that dark room as He was making Himself known to the captives as their Messiah. I saw prayers going forth, that were part of what I was seeing in Jesus making Himself known as their Messiah, and the atmosphere changing in the underground room to complete peace. Jesus was revealing eternity with Himself to the captives according to our prayers. I saw they were no longer afraid to die because they would be with Jesus for eternity. (I didn’t see that they were going to die. I saw that they were no longer afraid to die.) Jesus was comforting them. I looked at Jesus standing next to me in the war room in heaven. He was letting me know how powerful, how timely, how important, and how strategic our prayers were. I then saw Jesus walking in Gaza and making Himself known to some of the Hamas. They were startled and did not want to accept what was being shown to them by the Lord Jesus. I saw how hard their hearts were, so hard like Pharaoh in the time of Moses, and how spiritually blind they were. They did not want to accept what Jesus was speaking to them, that He was the Messiah. I did see that some of the Hamas were accepting what Jesus was revealing. I looked at Jesus beside me. I was comforted by Him as He was imparting knowledge and understanding of what our prayers were accomplishing. Our prayers were impacting eternity for the captives and some of the Hamas.”
Your handmaiden and servant,
Sharon and Philip
