January 14: The Lord Has Put You in Command

Scripture Reading—Psalm 8:1-9

“Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet:” (Psalm 8:6)

My child, do you realize what this means? I have created this world, with all that is in it—the entire universe with all that is in it—and you with all that is in you! And then, I gave you authority over all the works of My creation. You have authority over all things. Now I will mention only some of them: The wind and the waters (Like 8:24, 25), the sun and moon (Joshua 10:12-14, II Kings 20:9-11), the demons (Luke 10:17, 19, Acts 19:11, 12), the hearts of rulers (John 19:11, Nehemiah 2:5), the beasts of the fields, the fowls of the air and the fishes of the sea (Genesis 1:26). I have also put you in command of death (Matthew 10:8), of all sickness (Mark 16:18) and of bringing back into divine order every part of your own body and commanding healing to your own body. I have put you in command over all finances (Haggai 2:8), all plans and schemes of man (Acts 13:8-12).

The word of faith is the word of command, and it is “nigh thee” even in “thy mouth” (Deuteronomy 30:14, Romans 10:8). Speak positively and you shall have the positive, for your words have the power to create. Speak negatively and you shall create the negative; even your own soul shall be ensnared by the words of your mouth (Proverbs 6:2).

However, it does not work if you only speak positively, but think negatively. Your mind must be even as the mind of God. “…But we have the mind of Christ.” (I Corinthians 2:16) “Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 2:5). “And be renewed in the spirit of your mind” (Ephesians 4:23).

I am raising you up to be in My end-time army. You can only belong to it as you operate by faith and understanding of the full authority that I have given you. Before I went away, I said to you, “…greater works than these (which I did) shall ye do” (John 14:12)! I gave you authority over all things and told you that you had power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy and nothing could by any means hurt you (Luke 10:19). I told you to go to all nations and do My works (Mark 16:15-18). I gave you this power when I gave you My Holy Ghost (Acts 1:8).

Now go and do them, beginning by healing yourself by applying the power and authority of My spoken Word to the disease of your own body. Praise Me for the answer even before you see it.
