Scripture Reading: Genesis 1:28
“And God blessed them; and God said unto them: ‘Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it; …and have dominion over every living thing.'” (Genesis 1:28)
Love trusts. And because love trusts it delegates authority and responsibility.
Love commands respect. It is very difficult, if not altogether impossible, to love someone whom you cannot trust.
Any woman who marries a man whom she cannot trust, because she has seen how he flirts with other women, or has affairs behind her back, is a fool. She will only get hurt. He will never be faithful to her. He will always cheat on her. Peter says of such, “Having eyes full of adultery, and that cannot cease from sin… ” (2 Peter 2:14).
His own conduct (her unfaithful husband) destroys any respect or faith his wife might have had in him. His infidelity will cause her to have infidelity toward him.
The word “infidelity” does not only mean “the lack of faithfulness to one’s marriage vows,” it also means “the lack of trust in the one who has been betrayed by the unfaithful partner. ”
When I created Adam I gave him great authority, honor, and responsibility. He was in My image. I loved Adam and Eve as a son and a daughter. I could entrust them to rule over the world, through the authority I gave them, because of the trust I had in them. I imparted faithfulness into him. I put in his heart loyalty, honesty, purity, and trust, because I created him in My own image.
It was only after man fell that he lost so many of these holy virtues, and instead, he began to replace them with the inferiorities of the evil one whose voice he had obeyed in the Garden. Then came unfaithfulness, disloyalty, deceit, impurity, and suspicion. And with these negative things there came lack of love.
After Adam and Eve betrayed My trust, I had to take away much of their original authority and responsibility, because they would use it unwisely; and because of lack of love they would become cruel taskmasters, for they became children of the wicked one, as I told them when I was on earth, “Ye are of your father the devil… ” (John 8:44). They were under his control.
However, I made a way for them to be redeemed from his power and control over them through the Blood of My Son. I purchased all who would accept redemption. And “as many as received him, to them gave I power to become the sons of God, even to as many as believed in Me and trusted Me” (John 1:12).
And to those whom I redeemed I gave back again the authority that Adam had lost. I not only gave them authority to rule the things of nature, but I also gave them authority against all principalities and powers and spiritual wickedness in high places.
I trust you because I know you love Me. Your love for Me places you back into the pre-fall status.
Only be careful of your enemy. He still slithers about in your Paradise, and he will attempt to make you fall. So be faithful to Me by loving Me with all your heart, mind, soul, and strength. Your love for Me will give you strength to live a holy life, and as I see your love, I will love you and give you authority, for, “He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him” (John 14:21).
