June 17: I Have Delivered You So That You Can Serve Me

Scripture Reading—Psalm 71:20-24

“Thou, which hast shown me great and sore troubles, shalt quicken me again, and shalt bring me up again from the depths of the earth. Thou shalt increase my greatness, and comfort me on every side.” (Psalm 71:20, 21)

I have allowed you to experience great and painful troubles, even troubles so great that it seemed as though they were going to destroy you. But you have learned many precious and valuable lessons from these awful experiences. You thought they would kill you, and they would have, if I hadn’t stood by you to help you and save you and deliver you.

And I have delivered you so that you might serve Me. I have brought you back from the depths of despair, even from what would have been your grave. I have moved on the hearts of evil men and bound up demon spirits that I might spare you from death before your time.

Now I want to bring good out of your life, My child. I didn’t save your life so you could go on living as you have in the past. I saved it so that I could make a child of God out of you. You shall become great with My greatness and not with the greatness of this world. I will comfort you by sharing your pain, your fears, and your travail. I will envelop you with My arms of love and help you forget all the horrors of the past and the sufferings of yesterday. Trust in Me and it shall be done, for I am greater than the most powerful, demonically controlled men.
