June 20: Come Run with Me

Scripture Reading — Song of Solomon 2:1-17

“My beloved is like a roe or a young hart: behold, he standeth behind our wall, he looketh forth at the windows, shewing himself through the lattice.” (Song of Solomon 2:9)

Yes, My precious one, I am as the young hart longing for your nearness, looking for your companionship, waiting, waiting for your attention.

I silently come from the wilds close to your garden. I’m looking through the lattice of your window for glimpses of you, My beautiful bride.

Oh, how I long for you to come and run with Me, over My hills, over My fields, over My mountains. Running and skipping and leaping, as together we rejoice at the coming in and the going out of the day.

How long, My bride, will you remain busy in the confines of your daily activities? When will you turn from all these things that demand your attention and come away with Me?

You grieve in vain, you mourn in ignorance. Your loneliness is not necessary. I am right here beside you, looking at you, My bride, through your lattice. Turn and see Me. I stand here watching  you like a love-sick lover. Can’t you see Me? Come, open the door and come away. Come now, My love, My fair one.
