Thank You for the storms of life

That fill our sails with wind

And drive us on Your holy course Beyond what we had planned.

We trust You, Master of the sea,

Whom winds and waves obey,

When You speak, “go to the other side,”

We’ll safely arrive as You say.

Arise within our hearts, O King, And speak through our mouths to the sea,

And the wind and the waves will be suddenly calm,

And the glory will go to Thee.

For You are the Master of our lives,

And of the universe: Creator and King.

We trust You to lead, to steer and preside,

And for eternity Your praises we’ll sing.
