March 4: The Secret of Life Is in the Power of the Tongue

Scripture Reading—Psalm 34:11-14

“What man is he that desireth life, and loveth many days, that he may see good? Keep thy tongue from evil, and thy lips from speaking guile. Depart from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it.” (Psalm 34:12-14)

In this message are the secrets of a happy, healthy, blessed life. The psalmist is writing from pure revelation of the Holy Spirit.

When you praise and worship Me with all your spirit, a miracle of beauty takes place on your features because praise is comely. It beautifies everything it touches, including the praisers. It removes the mark of fear. Fear has torment (I John 4:18), therefore fear will cause sickness. It cripples, paralyzes, ages, and warps the character. Many who boast themselves of their courage and bravery are tormented by secret inner fears which they can’t even recognize. These fears cause worries which make tension and suspicions. Suspicion is caused by lack of love for love believeth all things (i.e. is not suspicious of everyone).

Some pride themselves in their ability to discern people but all they do is uncover that which love covers, for no one is perfect, least of all the so-called “discerners.”

Turn back to love. It is time again to love your enemy and all who cause you irritation or grief. Turn back to praise, and your joy and peace shall return, for as you love and praise, beauty, peace, and good health are restored to you.

See what today’s Scripture says. By keeping from negative talk, criticism of others, evil speaking, and all guile, departing from evil and doing good, you develop a positive attitude which gives life and health to you and extends the days of your life.

For years people have believed that their days are numbered. This is not true. They are not predetermined. It is not a case of “whatever will be, will be.” It really depends on the individual and My plan for his life.

If you are filled with love and are a peacemaker, ready to forgive, and not a holder of grudges, but seek for good to all and love those I send into your life, you will break the power of evil and bad health. You will live a long life. You will prosper and be blessed.

Praise is comely. It beautifies the praiser. Love and kind thoughts, words, and deeds extend the life of one who lives by this rule.

Evil talk and negative thoughts cause sickness and death to the body, soul and spirit.

Now choose which way your life should be lived, and then live according to it faithfully.
