Loving greetings from Engeltal! I wasn’t necessarily expecting it, but it seems the Lord has given us a continuation of the message from the last Prayer Letter.
As I was waking up this morning, I saw a mental picture of a lady sitting in a church, distant from the other congregants. I was given to understand that she had taken and was harboring an offense. When I was getting up, I heard the Lord speaking to me:
An offense creates a fence around you to separate you from the congregation. Both the offender and the offended are separated. As long as you retain the offense, the flow of the oil of unity (Psalm 133) is stopped and dryness creeps in to quench the anointing of the Holy Spirit (1 Thessalonians 5:19).
Offenses cause you to forsake assembling yourself with the body (Hebrews 10:24-25), and/or cause you to draw back and separate yourself from others in the room. Or, as the child whose parent commanded him to sit down declared “I’m standing up on the inside!”, so an offended one may assemble with others physically, but their soul has been cut off from fellowship.
The root of the Greek word for “fellowship” means “with.” When you are offended, you are no longer with the person/group who offended you. Your enemy knows that “a house divided against itself cannot stand” (Mark 3: 25).
My church has been weakened by offense. I cannot do all that I want to accomplish as long as you allow a spirit of offense to have a place. Each individual is responsible, but my shepherds are more so. It was the shepherd’s job to protect the sheep from the wolves, and My sheep must also pray for their shepherds.
Adam’s offense caused death to come on all mankind. You don’t realize the death that comes into your life and fellowship when you offend or take offense!
1 Corinthians 10:32 “Give none offence, neither to the Jews, nor to the Gentiles, nor to the church of God.”
2 Corinthians 6:3 “Giving no offence in any thing, that the ministry be not blamed.”
Philippians 1:10 “That ye may approve things that are excellent; that ye may be sincere and without offence till the day of Christ.”
Ephesians 4:1-3 “I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called, With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love; Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.”
New England and Washington, DC: On February 8, Philip and I will be heading for New England. We will be ministering with ETS&H Pastor Louis and Lydia Williams at Full Gospel Church on Cape Cod, on February 11 at 10:30 a.m. (for information call Lydia at 508-360-2595).
Then the next three days are very exciting to me! We feel moved by the Holy Spirit to go to the places in New England where my forefathers lived in the early settlements of this country and redeem the land, asking God to forgive the historic sins, iniquities and transgressions that keeps a stronghold of darkness and deception over the people. We’ll add these actions to agree in prayer with the multitudes in this nation who are praying that He will restore His blessings, pouring out His Holy Spirit in a new Great Awakening! I feel a strong responsibility and sense that this is the time. Please join us in intercession (even with fasting, if you feel led of the Lord) on February 12-14.
Jerry and ETH Judy Ball of Breaker of Dawn Ministries have been obeying God for some years to gather college students to encourage and build them in their faith in Ignite America events held on college campuses. In more recent years, He challenged them to also zero in on the Ivy League schools, from which many of the world’s leaders graduate. This year Ignite Ivy is being held in Boston, February 15-17, and we felt we should be a part of it. Please be in prayer for a mighty impact on the Ivy League students at Ignite Ivy! Pastor Mark Bristow and Claren and Nancy McQueen are involved, along with many other tremendous speakers and musicians.
Following that, we will be with Shelli Manuel in the Oceans of Glory Winter Campmeeting at the Pilgrim Sands Hotel in Plymouth, Massachusetts, February 18-20. It’s right across from Plimoth Plantation where the Pilgrims settled. Please pray for these meetings and come if you are able. I believe God is going to do something mighty that will impact the whole region! He has already given me a word about “Restoring All.” All that the Pilgrims and other godly fathers of our nation paid for with their sacrifices is to be restored! It is time to contend for it in the Spirit! Then we go to Washington DC to attend the Turnaround: An Appeal to Heaven National Gathering with Dutch Sheets, February 22-24. Please be in prayer for this event!
Berlin and Israel: Our ETH&S Adelheid and Andreas Bauer have invited us to Berlin, March 13-20. We are thrilled with this opportunity! I had always hoped to accompany Sister Gwen to Germany, but it didn’t happen. And now is the time for that dream to be restored! From there we will join our intercessors team for our annual Prayer Assignment in Israel, March 21-April 1. This time we have received orders to “Contend for the Covenants” that God made with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob to give the Land to their descendants. We plan to redeem the Land in those places where God made these promises. Our time there is set so that we can enjoy the beginning of Passover with a Seder meal and be at the empty Garden Tomb to celebrate the Sunrise Service on Resurrection Sunday before we fly home. Please cover us in prayer! And we have room for just a few more, so if you have been waffling about joining, please apply! Click here to apply or email email@example.com call for an application.
40th World Convention, July 2-6, 2018, Springdale, Arkansas: Have you made your reservations yet? If you are an End-Time Handmaiden or Servant, this is YOUR convention—it’s your “family reunion.” You shouldn’t ask the Lord’s permission to attend, you ask Him to check you if you shouldn’t! It should be automatic to assume that you should be there! You will so enjoy the unity in His Presence!
Speakers include: Dutch Sheets, Etienne Blom, Sigi Oblander, Mark Bristow, Barbara Yoder, Gene Little, and yours truly. Let’s encourage everyone we know that has a hunger for God to get there to meet with Him! You can make your reservations online or call (479) 751-8300. The rate is $89.00 plus tax ($101.24) per night for up to four in the room, including a delicious breakfast.
Ark Roof: We learned recently that the roofers are scheduled to come some time in February to put the new roof on the Ark. Hallelujah! We only need $5,000 more to finish the job. Please help us pray that through before they get here!
Thank you! We are always so grateful to each one who is standing with us in unity both in prayer and in giving. Heaven is recording your acts of love and unity in the Body, and the Lord’s Glory and blessing are being poured out for you!
Your handmaiden and servant,
Sharon and Philip
