November 20: Remember the Greatness of God

“I will remember the years of the right hand of the most High. I will remember the works of the LORD: surely I will remember thy wonders of old” (Psalm 77:10-11).

When things are hard for you, and you feel like giving up — remember ME! I am your best Friend. I AM your true “forever friend.” I love you when you are perfect, and I love you when you make mistakes that grieve My heart. There is nothing that you can do to make Me stop loving you.

When the Psalmist was in one of the most difficult times of his life, he composed a song:

“I cried unto God with my voice, even unto God with my voice; and he gave ear unto me. In the day of my trouble I sought the LORD: my sore ran in the night, and ceased not: my soul refused to be comforted. I remembered God, and was troubled: I complained, and my spirit was overwhelmed” (Psalm 77:1-4). He said that he was so troubled that he couldn’t even speak.

But, when he remembered how, at times before when he was greatly troubled, I had given him songs in the night (77:6). As he meditated upon the great miracles I had done for My people in ancient times, and how I had taken the hands of Moses and Aaron, and used them to lead My people, by making a path in the midst of the great waters, he found that he could turn every trial into a song (Psalm 77:19-20). And you can too. It is when you go through your greatest trials and testings that your greatest gifts flow out of the alabaster box of your heart to a hurting world, and bring healing to them.

It is good to open your Bible and read again the true accounts of the miracles I have done for My people. I am the same God today. Anything I did in days of old, I can do again, anytime, anywhere. You have nothing to fear. I can deliver you from your enemies; I can bind the demons and render them helpless.

Don’t only remember what I did in the past. Remember what I am doing now for many people all over the world. And remember what great things I have done for you. You have known miracle after miracle. You have seen Me prepare a table before you in the presence of your enemies. You have walked through the Valley of the Shadow of Death, and come back to live a wonderful life. I have given you courage, faith, and the strength to stand in the storms of life, and not be “blown away” by opposition and criticism.

Remember how I have provided for you. Remember how I have blessed you with children and earthly goods. Remember how I have changed hearts, which had hated you and you became friends. Remember the wonderful, good friends and helpers I have given you.

Remember how I have forgiven all your sins, and promised never to punish you for them, for I took upon Myself the punishment you deserved.

And, last of all remember your wonderful future — I promised to be with you until the end of your earthly life, and when it is over, I promised that I, Myself, would come and receive you unto Myself, so that where I am, there you may be also! (John 14:3).

When Satan tries to make you depressed, discouraged, and to feel like giving up and dying — REMEMBER THE GOOD THINGS I HAVE DONE FOR YOU!
