November 21: Approving Yourself

Scripture Reading: II Corinthians 6:6

“By pureness, by knowledge, by longsuffering, by kindness, by the Holy Ghost, by love unfeigned,” (II Corinthians 6:6)

While not all of My children are called to endure stripes and imprisonment, all certainly are called to the following.

Pureness: The highest calling is purity of the body and spirit. When any of My children are pure in body, but not in spirit, they are contaminated. I call you to the purity which is in Me. “…the words of the pure are pleasant” (Proverbs 15:26). I will listen when you call upon Me out of a pure heart. All the works of the pure in heart are right (Proverbs 21 :8). The scorner has no pureness of words. Everything he says is contaminated with a desire to bring strife and destruction. Mark him and have nothing to do with him. Be careful not to learn his ways. You will know who is pure and who isn’t, for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks (Matthew 12:34). A fountain cannot produce both bitter and sweet waters (James 3:11). “A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things” (Matthew 12:35).

Knowledge: This is the one thing Paul prayed for the Ephesians to have. He prayed earnestly “That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: The eyes of your understanding being enlightened ; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power” ( Ephesians 1:17-19). This is the knowledge you should daily strive for. All other knowledge is carnal and some is destructive. Be not inquisitive into evil. Satan would seek to fill you with wrong knowledge. His facts and figures may be correct, but if you eat from this tree you will be destroyed.

Longsuffering: Longsuffering is the ability to endure your trials and testings over and over again. Just when you think you are getting respite and things are improving you find yourself in the midst of them again with the same old people bringing about the same old problems. When you can still keep the same spirit of compassion and mercy, that is longsuffering. As testings shall increase you will need it more and more.

Kindness: Everyone can be kind. You need not have great indepth knowledge to be kind. A child is always kind. You must remember to be kind to all, not just one or two, but all. Let Me deal with those who are the trouble-makers. You be kind to them. It is not your duty to punish or judge anyone. Hand them over to Me. They were Mine before they were yours. I made them.

Unfeigned Love: Unfeigned (pure) love is not contaminated by the emotions you endure when you are put to the test. Pure love can love the betrayer, the thief, the son who plans the death of the father (David loved Absalom with this pure love). Never turn off your river of love, no matter how much someone hurts you. If you do, you will become bitter. Love will heal the wounds which you are suffering from enemy and friend.

The Holy Spirit: Only through My Holy Spirit can you be holy in all these points and perfect in all these ways and the following. Let Him have full control of every faculty of your being continuously.
