November 7: A Restless Spirit Hinders the Servant of God

Scripture Reading: II Corinthians 2:12-13

“Furthermore, when I came to Troas to preach Christ’s gospel, and a door was opened unto me of the Lord, I had no rest in my spirit, because I found not Titus my brother: but taking my leave of them, I went from thence into Macedonia.” (II Corinthians 2:12,13)

Although Paul had My call upon his life to preach the glorious Gospel, and a door was open for him to minister in Troas, still he was hindered by his own restless and anxious spirit.

Satan would try to make your spirit anxious and restless so that you are not able to be at your best for Me. He always magnifies every situation and creates a tense and distrustful atmosphere. It is a common tactic of his to use people as a decoy so that you waste your time beating the air and fighting against imaginary enemies.

Titus was in My care. He was safe with Me. But Paul was overly anxious. You too must trust your brothers and sisters into My care. I am as close to that one who is absent from you as I am to you. My eye is on that one even now.

I have an important work for you to do. Why do you let Satan distract you from that which is of primary importance? Many souls were lost because Paul did not stay in Troas when the door was open to him.

The devil would have you lose out in winning those souls that I want you to reap. Forget about your Titus now, go back to preaching My Gospel.
