Scripture Reading—Psalm 119:105-112

“Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.” (Psalm 119:105)

Yes, My Word is a lamp lighting the pathway wherever you go. But this light only shines when you walk in My will for your life. That is why it is important for you to be sure that you have My Word to you before you do anything.

Once I have spoken My Word to you, the light will break forth upon your pathway and the Holy Spirit will guide you in the light of My will for your life.

My Word always brings light. Is it not written, “The entrance of thy word giveth light” (verse 30)? That is why it is important for you to meditate on My Word. You cannot know the true way in which you should walk unless you know My will for your life.

If you step out on your own, before you have received a sure Word of the Lord, you will walk in darkness and you will stumble. It will not be possible for you to succeed. Your soul will be in danger, for the enemy of your soul will lay many snares for your feet. Evil lives in the darkness, for evil loves darkness.

But I am the Light, and My Word is Light. As I speak My Word, My command to you, Light will shine upon your pathway, and My glory will not only give a Light to your feet and show you the way in which you must walk, but it will also protect you, for the evil one and his emissaries love the darkness, and run from the light. Therefore, My child, seek to know My will; wait for My Word to you before you move into the future.
