Scripture Reading — I Corinthians 15:57-58

“Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.” (I Corinthians 15:58)

This scripture has encouraged My servants and handmaidens more than any other. I have seen sheer strength and grace flow into their hearts many times as they have meditated on these words.

There have been many times in your own life too, My child, when you were so weary and under such attack of the evil one that you were ready to give up. Even now, when you see the complaining and disgruntled spirit that there is in man, you despair of doing anything more to bless and to help them. Very few really appreciate or are grateful to you for what you have done. Out of thirty, you do well if three will stop to say thank you before rushing on to do their own thing. Remember, only one out of ten lepers returned to thank Me for cleansing and healing them. And if they would not be grateful for such a great miracle, how do you expect anyone to appreciate what you have done for them?

Therefore a man or woman who forsakes or regrets their high calling in order to please a husband or wife or child or parents, is foolish. For in the end that one who was the hindrance will not be grateful for all the sacrifices that have been made for him, whereas the souls that were saved through your dedicated life will rejoice with you through eternity. And your greatest joy will be when they say, “I am in Heaven because of you.”

It is then that you will fully realize that your labour was not in vain by My standards. You will rejoice for every sacrifice you made. So do it all for Me. For then you will have eternal appreciation.  Do not be discouraged. Continue what you are doing to help and train others. Be steadfast, unmovable from the goal of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus, always knowing that as you continue to serve Me in spite of all obstacles and discouragements, you are pleasing Me, and it is from Me alone you will receive your reward.
