The Message Bible is a good translation to use in youth groups and young adult situations where the “Thee’s, thou’s, and thus saith’s” confuse the point of the scripture. Personally, I ALWAYS cross-reference with the New King James Version to make sure the thoughts align themselves. I have found a few instances where the ‘amplification’ led to distortion, but for the most part, it’s OK.
