Our journey began when my lovely wife went for what we thought was minor surgery. They discovered some cancer and removed it, but recommended that she go through intense chemotherapy and radiation treatment. Scripture says that when two join together in Holy Matrimony, they become one flesh, therefore it wasn’t just my wife who was being afflicted. I felt one of the greatest things that I could do to see us through this dark valley (because she was the one enduring the physical suffering) was to begin to help her stay focused on the goodness of the Father of us all.
