September 18: Great Is God’s Faithfulness

“It is of the LORD’S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness” (Lamentations 3:22-23).

Great is Thy faithfulness, Great is Thy faithfulness,
Morning by morning new mercies I see:
All I have needed Thy hand has provided
Great is Thy faithfulness, Lord unto me.

I’ve never failed you. Friends and relatives have failed you. All through your life you have been disappointed and disillusioned by those whom you have trusted the most.

Things have happened to you that could’ve embittered your soul and disillusioned your heart, but still you have kept your heart from becoming bitter and cynical.

That is because you still have ONE FRIEND whom you can trust. ONE WHO has never failed you. ONE WHO holds true to His promises to you. ONE WHO loves you even though He knows the worst about you.

You’ve not always been faithful to Him, but He has always been faithful to you. You have broken promises you have made to Him, but He has never broken a single promise He has made to you. This friend is Me, Jesus.

I’ve loved you from eternity and I will love you through eternities to come. Have no fear; I’m looking out for you. I am your Healer, your Provider, your Love, and your Protector. I heal your body and I heal your broken heart. I collect all your tears and turn them into joy bells so that you can be the happiest person in the world. Your joy is not dependent upon your circumstances, nor your earthly relationships; in fact these are all transitory — here today and gone tomorrow. Nothing in you earthly existence is permanent; it is but a dream.

The real life is the one you can only “see” by the Spirit. All that is so real today will soon become a memory, and you will wonder why you were so limited in your understanding and why you had not made the eternal realities the predominant reason for your living. Ask me to reveal these truths to you. When you understand this, you will become more faithful to me.
