September 22: Running to the Mercy Seat

I woke up this morning with the thought “in the Kingdom of God I don’t have the right to defend myself, but I have the right to come to the throne of my Heavenly Father and lay my case down at His feet.”

As I imagined myself doing that, I felt the burden lift and the comfort of the Lord swept in.

I began to go back in my mind through the memories of the hurts I have suffered in my life and laid them down.

This is one way in which suffering is redemptive. As you arise to the throne and lay the burdens of pains and sorrows at My feet, My Holy Spirit, the Comforter, floods into your being to fill that place in your spirit, soul, and body that has been damaged. He brings healing with Him. Each time you are reminded of the pain by your adversary (whose assignment in your life is to steal, kill, and destroy), you may again come into My Presence for comfort. By practicing this exercise, you are literally bringing My Presence into the earth, like turning on the light in the darkness. The devil meant it for evil to destroy you, but I turn it to good, not only for you, to make you feel better, but to make you a carrier of My Shalom into the earth. You will be an “atmosphere changer” wherever you go.

Instead of being the “walking wounded,” you will be the “walking healed,” and carry My imparted healing that you may in turn impart to others.

The more time you spend in My Presence, the deeper the healing will go, and the more healing power you will carry to impart to others.

If you go back in your mind to the wounding and replay the incident or suffering, you will know you are healed when it doesn’t hurt anymore. If it still hurts, bring it to Me to make the healing go deeper. The more healed you are, the more you will change atmospheres around you.

If you don’t keep bringing it to Me, your adversary will also make you an “atmosphere changer,” but the change you bring will be a negative one, opening a door to darkness.

Choose you this day whom you will serve! Breathe in of My Presence, and I will give you peace. This is the great exchange that was paid for by the wounds of Jesus, that you may exchange your wounds for My peace and My Presence. This is what Paul was referring to in Colossians 1:24 “Even now I rejoice in the midst of My sufferings on your behalf. And in My own person I am making up whatever is still lacking and remains to be completed on our part of Christ’s afflictions, for the sake of His body, which is the church” (Amplified).

It is through the sufferings of Jesus the Messiah, the Suffering Servant of Isaiah 53, that the way was paved for you to access Heaven. He suffered for your sins and paid the price for them, offering His own Blood on The Mercy Seat.

Matthew 10:25 says, “It is enough for the disciple that he be as his master, and the servant as his lord. If they have called the master of the house Beelzebub, how much more shall they call them of his household?”

The blood of the martyrs is the seed of the church. Bring your sufferings to Me and I will redeem them for glory, both on your personal account and for the sake of My Kingdom in the earth. Bring your sufferings to Me. Let Me give you My peace in exchange for your self-pity, whining, murmuring, complaining, bitterness, grudges, your right to defend yourself, and your right to repeat the accusation of the accuser of the brethren (whether verbally or even in your mind). Exchanging your negatives for My peace will “pull the plug” that empowers the devil’s agenda in the earth, and will hasten the coming of My Kingdom in the earth.
