Beloved Intercessors,
Loving greetings from Engeltal! It is hard to believe that our 40th World Convention has come and gone! So much prayer and preparation went into it! It was an experience of a lifetime! Thank you so much to each one who prayed, and to each one who gave, and to each one who came. All who participated in any way will surely see eternal results!
Waiting on God: This week we have been led of the Lord to set aside time to wait on God for His instructions for the future. We have been feeling that a major turn is coming and we want to be in sync with His heart. I’m planning on giving more details in our quarterly letter that will be coming out later next month, but let me share with you a few details that are significantly timed right now.
During the World Convention I heard a very strong word in my spirit that God wants Engeltal to be a “Legislative Prayer Center.” I don’t think that I have heard that term before, but it came to me while Dutch Sheets was talking about how the ekklesia (Greek Word often translated as “church,”) really is more of a legislative body. We have always had prayer here, but we are realizing that God has bigger ideas about it. I could see decrees going forth from here that will impact the nations and the heavenlies.
Part of what we are doing here in this week of prayer is hearing the heart of God and setting forth decrees that we are in agreement with His heart. We’ve had a number of visions and prophetic words given. As we are listening to the Lord, we are clarifying the vision so that we can write it and make it plain, so that those who read it may be able to run with it (Habakkuk 2:2).
We were delighted to learn today that what we are doing right now is also in sync with what Israel has just done in the Knesset, their legislative body. They have just enacted into “Basic Law” (the equivalent of constitutional law) what they have been holding as their practices for the last 70 years. (Click here to read the article.)
In other words, they are setting unchangeable standards by which the country will continue to be run in the future. That is exactly what we are also doing in this time. It’s exciting! And we covet your prayers while we wait, gathering our hearts to the Lord and entwining with His.
A Strong Word of Caution to Share: I had a lovely visit with Tandy Chiles this evening. She was telling me about a dream that Henry Gruver had where he saw the dictator of North Korea assassinated. God told him to go to South Korea and warn the pastors and the Body of Christ not to rejoice should that happen, but rather that they should pray. Leaders came to him weeping and repenting for their attitudes and thanked him for his message.
Then Tandy told me about Proverbs 24:17–18. The Amplified Bible translates it this way: “Rejoice not when your enemy falls, and let not your heart be glad when he stumbles or is overthrown, Lest the Lord see it and it be evil in His eyes and displease Him, and He turn away His wrath from him [to expend it upon you, the worse offender].” She felt that it was vital for the Body of Christ to walk humbly and with much prayer with regard for the indictments and imprisonments that are coming to high profile people in the coming season. We must pray for them, for which of us knows if there might be a Saul of Tarsus among them that will repent and be used in a mighty way by God in the future! And if we don’t pray for them and walk humbly, we will be helping to set the stage for civil unrest and great trouble. Pray in the Spirit, and you will always pray the right thing!
Please pray with us as we put together an itinerary for some meetings in August. See the events listed below.
Thank you for joining us in prayer! And we are so grateful for all who give to help us accomplish the mandates the Lord has given us.
